The Offshore Wind for North Carolina Coalition (OSW4NC) advocates for a just and equitable transition to a clean energy economy. Communities of color have historically borne the burden of fossil fuel infrastructure in and around their towns and neighborhoods. Residents routinely experience disproportionate health and economic impacts as a result of increased pollution that degrades air and water quality and deflates property values.
The OSW4NC coalition supports diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) lease stipulations as part of our commitment to justice and equity in North Carolina’s transition to renewable wind energy. These lease stipulations are listed below.
Our coalition will promote these stipulations and others to help ensure that all North Carolina communities benefit from the development of a clean energy future.
